Sturlureykirhorses

Sturlureykir is a family runned farm located in the west of Iceland, with about 60 horses, 5 to 7 foals every year.  We have offered ridingtours for more than 30 years both long and short trips.  On our farm you can meet and pet our horses and also find some beautiful horses out of our old breeding line, back to 1936 in world fengur, our horses have a big caracter and we also have quite big horses for example one of our stallion Vakandi is 154 cm on shoul

Family story back to 1886,  first geothermal in Europe 1907, one of the oldest breedingfarm of icelandic horses in the world same family, same place, we have a “underground” bakery and always offer a homebaked ryebred to our guests.
